Language Policy

The primary language of instruction and assessment at Parkhurst Primary is English Home Language. All subjects are taught and assessed in English to ensure learners develop a strong command of the language.

Afrikaans and isiZulu are offered as First Additional Languages for learners.

isiZulu is being phased in and Afrikaans is being phased out as per this schedule.

There is no choice of languages, and the learner must do the language offered to the Grade.
